Looking through the archives, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful and intimate Lake Gorge, NY wedding a couple of summers ago. It was a laid back, outdoorsy, backyard wedding with a theme of spending quality time with close family and friends. These two wanted to focus on good conversation, good home-made food and making fun memories together.

The ceremony took place overlooking the green country fields in the backyard, complete with a wooden triangle arch decorated with beautiful floral arrangements. As tissues were being passed around, live music filled the air as her dad walked her down the aisle. Not a dry eye to be seen.

After the ceremony, the family blue vintage truck from the blueberry farm days, made for the perfect photo prop. The newlyweds hosted a dinner party on the back porch for a comfortable intimate vibe with their favorite people. The cafe lights, candles and florals completed the cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

As the night went on, everyone enjoyed libations under the stars that led to laughter and many toasts. It was the perfect way to end a warm hearted summer backyard wedding day full of love and happiness celebrating the lovely couple. My wish for all newlywed couples is that they get to enjoy their guests and by the end of the night, their cheeks don’t just hurt from smiling for pictures, but from all the laughs they shared on their special day.
